UPDATED:

The results are in for the Rancho Santa Fe Association’s 2025 board of directors election as Covenant voters decided to welcome back the incumbent Courtney LeBeau, along with new board Joanne Marks and Courtney Silberberg.

In this year’s election, the Association received 1,214 total ballots, down from 1,461 last year. Of the four candidates vying for three spots, Marks was the top vote-getter with 869 votes, followed by Silberberg with 800 and LeBeau with 736. Candidate Steve Games finished outside of the top three with 600 votes.

All three new board bring Association experience and knowledge: LeBeau has served as the board president for the last two years, Marks volunteered on the Association’s infrastructure committee, and for the last two years, Silberberg has served on the audit and finance committee.

While the votes were counted in a public session on June 10, overseen by election inspector Bruce Bishop, the board conducted its regular business, which included approving a new commercial sign for the Osuna Ranch and submitting an application for Rancho Santa Fe to be recognized as a FireWise Community. The national FireWise program promotes wildfire preparedness through steps such as defensible space and community collaboration. The designation can also result in discounts from some insurance providers, which could help Covenant residents who have struggled with canceled home insurance policies.

With the election over, board Phil Trubey and Scott Thurman will be wrapping up their three-year . Both are longtime Rancho Santa Fe residents who have logged many years as community volunteers. The Association will formally recognize Trubey and Thurman at the July meeting when the new directors are officially seated.
