UPDATED:

Padres fans can expect unseasonably cool, damp and at times breezy weather Friday through Sunday when the team hosts the Tampa Bay Rays at Petco Park.

San Diego’s daytime high will be 65 degrees on Thursday and 64 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the National Weather Service says. The average high this time of year is about 70.

The temperature will likely drop to 60 by the time Friday’s game gets underway at 6:40 p.m.

Saturday’s match, which starts at 5:40 p.m., won’t be any warmer, and drizzle is possible. Sunday’s contest, which starts at 1:10 p.m., will be only marginally better.

Forecasters say the average high will be 5 to 15 degrees cooler than normal across inland valleys and mountains, especially on Friday and Saturday.
