CIF San Diego Section Girls Golf Championships

When: Monday at Balboa Golf Course and Wednesday at Torrey Pines North

Defending individual champion: Zoe Jiamanukoonkit (Torrey Pines). Jiamanukoonkit ran away with the individual championship a year ago, scoring a two-round 7-under par 136 to win by five shots

Defending Division 1 champion: Torrey Pines. The Falcons have won 19 section titles since golf became a San Diego Section sport in 2000.

Defending Division 2 champion: Mater Dei Catholic. The Crusaders are two-time defending Division 2 champions, having won with a score of 103 over par a year ago.

At stake: The top two teams, plus the next 12 individual golfers, advance to the Nov. 14 SoCal Regionals held at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills.
